A post-accreditation initiative towards academic excellence

The Seva Sadan’s R. K. Talreja College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Ulhasnagar was accredited with “B+” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of University Grant Commission, New Delhi in the year 2004. Following the procedures of National Action Plan of the NAAC, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been setup in the college for the purpose of continuous evaluation of the performance, quality upgradation, assessment and re-accreditation of the college.

The IQAC is the part of the college’s administrative system with principal as its chairperson. Since inception, the IQAC has made / is making several efforts to improve both academic and administrative performance of the college. The IQAC remains in centre during formation and implementation of quality policy with a view to ensure continuous improvement in all acts of the college.

The IQAC functions to assure accountability of the college to all the stakeholders such as student, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff and also the local society.

 College is Re-Accreditated ‘B Grade’ with CGPA – 2.83 by NAAC in the year 2016.


The IQAC was established in the college to fulfill the objectives:

-To set quality levels for all academic and administrative units and evolve mechanisms for continuous monitoring and ensuring the performance.

-To make strategies for sensitizing all functionaries of the college to become accountable for the students and other stakeholders.

-To take steps for internal academic audit of teaching-learning and research activities of all departments.

-To encourage teaching and non-teaching staff members for continuing education and training in service.

-To take steps for increasing research culture among the faculty members.

-To collaborate with other academic institutions and agencies in India and abroad to improve quality of the college

-To take steps for infrastructure development of the college.

-To become a centre for disseminating ideas and innovations in higher education.

-To prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the College every year to the NAAC and also it’s uploading to college’s official website.
